This week, Cancer Research's News Digest gives us updates on cutting children's sugar intake, new NHS target, Northern Ireland, tumour DNA sequenced, the pill, survival for pancreatic cancer, keyhole surgery, "a sponge-on-a-string" test, mini tumours, and finally….vitamin C as treatment? The number of the week is 5000, which is the extra number of people NHS England hopes will survive their cancer by 2019.
