In recent years, science and the media have been buzzing with the term CRISPR. From speculation around reviving the woolly mammoth to promises of distant cures for cancer, the unproven potential for this genome editing tool has been stretched far and wide. It’s therefore no surprise that CRISPR has piqued the interest of many – scientists and the public alike. So in this post, which is the first in a series taking a closer look at the technology, we answer some of the most common questions that pop up.
