Jiwen holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry, and has 30 years of both academic and commercial experience. While working as a professor at Sun Yat-Sen University in Guangzhou, Jiwen led multiple research projects, co-authored two books, published more than 100 research articles, and served as an editor, committee member and director for several academic journals and organizations. She is among the top 2% most cited global scientist in the September 2022 “updated science-wide author database of standardized citation indicators”.
Jiwen drove the introduction of two start-up companies’ innovative products into both academia and industry in Greater China and then to the remaining of Asia Pacific. Both companies were acquired by Agilent Technologies, a global leader in life sciences, diagnostics and applied chemical markets. She then held various responsibilities in Agilent Technologies in Asia Pacific over the past 15 years, covering sales, channel integration, collaboration management, as well as business and market development.
Jiwen is fascinated by the way new technologies help make life easier, safer, more efficient and sustainable, and is a big advocate of it. Being a Certified Professional Coach, Jiwen is a volunteer coach and mentor in her spare time.
